St John the Baptist Church in Lower Shuckburgh, Warwickshire is an active Church of England parish church with a long-standing role at the heart of village life. It was rebuilt in 1864 on the site of an earlier medieval church, designed by the Victorian architect John Croft for Sir Frederick Shuckburgh after the previous building was destroyed by fire.
The present building is noted for its distinctive Gothic style and is listed as a Grade II historic building for its architectural and historic interest.
The church is part of the local parish community, hosting regular services (including a monthly Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion) and seasonal events such as carol services and summer openings. It is also recognised as one of “England’s Thousand Best Churches,” attracting visitors for both worship and its unique character.
